The basic personal hygiene system in most households includes a bathroom having a conventional toilet system comprised of a toilet bowl, a toilet seat and a cover lid combination, a tank for flushing the toilet bowl, a cold water supply to the tank and a toilet-paper roll holder. In some such bathrooms, personal preferences of people preclude the use of toilet paper and favour water washes in the form of a separate bidet. Bathing facilities are generally equipped with a ceramic, metal or plastic soap-holding fixture affixed to or recessed into the bath enclosure. Sink cabinets are frequently installed in bathrooms where they are sometimes referred to as "vanities" from their resemblance to dressing tables. Vanity sinks for bathroom use have generally included a cabinet with a top counter surface and a hole through the counter surface into which a vanity sink is positioned. Bathroom cabinets include those that are used for storing such things as towels and toilet articles and those that are located underneath the lavatory. Drawers are also usual in the bathroom. The cabinet may have storage areas beneath the countertop, but such areas are generally accessible through doors on the face of the cabinet and that open into lower areas, generally well below the bottom of the vanity sink. In the bathing of infants, the kitchen sink is oftentimes employed as the "bathtub," or alternatively, a baby bathtub formed of plastic may be employed, such baby bathtubs ordinarily taking the form of an elongated or oval shaped basin.
