Crib mattress
Infant cribs and their application are well-established. A baby crib for an infant has a main frame consisting of a headboard and a footboard that form the ends and two parallel sides, usually having vertical bars with openings between them. A horizontal mattress support is positioned within this main frame and consists of a rectangular spring frame and springs on which a mattress rests extending horizontally across the main frame. Various modifications to the basic crib design have been proposed in the prior art for providing enhancements, in terms of safety, care and ease of operation. Typically, baby cribs are used during the infancy stage of a child. During this period, the baby must be kept hygienically clean by changing the mattress coverings at least daily. Crib mattress supports utilize four vertical brackets which have hooks or openings at spaced vertical locations which are meant to engage generally L-shaped bails. The bails are connected to a spring or other mattress carrying member. A suitable mattress is provided over the carrying member. Conventional crib mattress sheets are constructed from one panel that has fitted corners to accommodate a rectangular mattress. The fitted corners engage the corners of a crib mattress, similar to a conventional fitted sheet designed for adults. Foam crib mattress is designed with retangular corners to mere uniformly fit the crib, with the added protection of an Antibacterial cover on both sides.
