Dresser
A dresser is similar to a sideboard, but has shelves above for storing and displaying crockery. Almost every home and business has cabinets, dressers, desks, or other similar types of furniture with drawers that pull out and can be used to hold various items. Such items may be cooking utensils, cutlery, writing implements, office supplies, and other similar items. Chests and dressers are well known furniture items that are typically used for storing articles of apparel. They typically include several drawers which are slidably mounted to a cabinet. The tops of such dressers are flat. Various types of furniture such as cabinets, dressers, and the like, have movable components such as doors or drawers that open and close against a frame. The usefulness of furniture such as dressers, cabinets, or bureaus can be greatly increased by providing a hinged or otherwise attached top which can be configured to provide greater working space or allow access to interior regions of the cabinet. In order to increase the storage capacity of a chest, dresser or combo unit, hutches have been designed to rest on the top surface or surfaces thereof. Such hutches are generally comprised of cabinets having shelves. Drawers and doors are generally not provided.
