Entertainment center

With the advent of inexpensive consumer electronics, most homes are now equipped with a wide variety of electronic components, such as televisions, VCR's, cable boxes, stereo systems, and other audio-visual and computer related components. Entertainment centers are one type of audio visual system that typically include a plurality of audio visual components including any number or all of the following: a television, speakers, a receiver, a VCR, a CD player, a DVD player, a personal video recorder (PVR), and TIVO type products. An entertainment center that can be used indoors to provide music, and outdoors to supply music, seating, shading and a serving table or tray would appear to be a valuable additional furniture item for most homes. A wide variety of equipment is currently available for use in the home to provide high quality musical entertainment. A typical home entertainment center of this type includes stereo record players, magnetic tape decks and AM-FM tuners, all of which are selectably employed to drive a dual channel amplifier and speaker system. These systems have been available in a variety of sizes, shapes, and styles. For example, a television, receiver, VCR, and CD and DVD players can be housed in a cabinet having additional shelves and/or drawers to store other items such as books, remote controls, video recordings, CDs, and DVDs. Some entertainment centers are open in the front, while others have doors that conceal some or all of the components from view. Because many of these components must be electrically interconnected, most people place these components in close proximity to each other. A preferred method of storage is to place the components in a common storage cabinet, frequently referred to as an entertainment center. On a typical entertainment center, a VCR, stereo equipment, and other components can be stored in a single cabinet. For reasons of aesthetics, such cabinets are frequently constructed of wood. Because many of these components are electrically interconnected, e.g., the TV may be connected to the VCR, the cable box, the stereo, and to a set of auxiliary speakers, each of the electronic components includes a plurality of plugs, ports, and/or connectors designed to accommodate the various wires and patch cords that enable to components to function together. The entertainment center is ideal for a family room, basement or playroom. Combine all your home entertaining devices into this large entertainment center with plenty of room for electronics and storage. Media base includes sliding doors, cord cutouts and plenty of space for components. Coordinating media tower provides two adjustable shelves on top and a cabinet with one adjustable shelf below. Additional shelf is available for bottom cabinet of each tower. Thus it is ideal for organizing video games and systems, board games, CDs and DVDs. Some entertainment center features two raised panel doors to keep the valuables safe from dust and out of view. Several adjustable open storage shelves on the side allow you to display videos, books and collectables. These shelves hold many DVDs, CDs, cardboard case VHS tapes, oversized VHS tapes or a combination of all. The TV unit has four adjustable shelves in front for your DVD player, VCR, CD player or cable box.
