Dollhouse furniture

Numerous types of dollhouses have been designed and enjoyed by children and adults. Doll houses come in a variety of designs and are decorated in a variety of manners. Toy playhouses for housing dolls and figurines, which provide space in which children can play with the dolls and figurines within the confines of the doll house are known. Various configurations have been selected for doll houses in the past, including hinged and multiple storied doll houses, having various levels of rooms, doorways, passageways, staircases, decks, etc. Some of these hinged doll houses have been collapsible with a handle thereon for transporting the doll house. Dollhouses are traditionally three-dimensional because three-dimensionality allows children to play in a scaled down version of a house, which possesses a certain amount of realism. As with the doll houses, the pieces of furniture and the like are also scaled down, while possessing essentially all of the details of full size pieces of furniture, fittings, and the like. The themes or designs for doll houses have encompassed almost every imaginable overall appearance such as spaceships, vegetables, and medieval castles. Generally a dollhouse will have an opening from through which a child playing with the toy can view a number of different rooms within the doll's house. Each of the rooms will be decorated and furnished differently to represent the different rooms within a house. In a dollhouse, a disc support is attached to a wall or ceiling of the doll house and is used for supporting a ceiling canopy. The ceiling canopy in turn is used to support a miniature chandelier or other light fixture.
