Traditionally, these baskets have been woven from wicker or straw and include side handles for portability. A major problem with these baskets is that they begin to loose their shape as the side walls of the basket begin to splay outward or fold inward. Also, the wicker or straw material used in their construction is too rough for infants to rub against or touch. Some moses baskets are made of fine natural woven maize fibers and offer the duvet styled mattress and bumpers, which makes it easier to keep these baskets crisp and clean wash after wash. Simply remove the inserts and put the 100% cotton, machine washable fabric covers through your laundry. Because the inserts avoid harsh wash and dry cycles, they retain their shape, and your covers stay fresh and new looking. Basket includes a mattress pad, white sheet and soft bumper/liner made with waffle fabric trimmed with white satin piping. A soft polyester fill pads the poly/cotton bumper for cushiony comfort. The liner is removable and can be machine-washed and tumbled dry.
