Toy chest
Most small children have a large variety and number of toys with which they can play for entertainment and/or educational purposes. These toys are typically kept in the child's room, and are usually put away in a toy chest when the child is through playing with them. Storage of childrens toys is an ageless problem that has partially been solved through the use of a large box in which to place toys of all sizes. Many different shapes and sizes of toy boxes have been designed, with the shapes taking the form of trucks, cars, footballs and many other eye catching configurations. Many different hinges and catches have been designed to keep lids from crashing down on small fingers. Various toy chest designs and constructions are well known in the prior art. Such devices typically comprise a box type structure or a substantially rectangular, clam shell type carrying case for receiving toys. Sometimes the device include a plurality of separate varying shaped storage compartments therein for receiving individual toy items. The devices are typically enclosable using a lid or detachable cover. A toy chest is as functional as it is stylish. It features a generous storage space for books, games, clothes and other treasures and a flip down lid and gracefully arched back allows this piece to double as a bench. The safe and sturdy storage chest helps you teach your children to pick up after themselves. A secure safety hinge on the flip top lid prevents pinched fingers and other injuries. The child will be able to learn to be responsible and pick up after him/herself. The safety lid slides up and out of the way, and there are no sharp edges.
