Monitor riser
As a computer system is widely used, demand for a monitor is rapidly increased. With this, there have been proposed various monitors having functions to suit user's taste and to give a user convenience. In general, in order to use flat monitors, such as LCD monitors, at desks or tables, stands for supporting the monitors are required. The stand is coupled to a backside of the monitor with a hinge assembly so that a user can adjust a tilting angle of the monitor to desired degrees. The docking apparatus allows portable computers to be quickly adapted for office use. The docking apparatus is designed to connect the portable computer to the peripheral equipment for use in an office environment. When the need to use the portable computer in a mobile manner arises, it may be detached from the docking device and used in a stand alone fashion. The elevation of a computer screen to a more comfortable viewing height by means of a monitor stand can assist the operator in maintaining correct seated posture, thereby providing relief from back and neck fatigue. A monitor riser elevates the monitor to approximately the eye level of the user, and to have a keyboard tray which can (extend the keyboard location beyond the edge of a desk or work surface to permit room for the copy holder between the keyboard and the computer monitor. A monitor stand may typically comprise a shelf raised to a desired height by a vertical member or by a vertical height adjusting cylinder which is mounted to a desktop. The platform support or base of the monitor rests on the shelf. A pair of side flanges extend upwardly from the shelf, the shelf being sized or the distance between the side flanges adjustable so that the platform support rests snugly between the side flanges.
