Whether you are planning your next important meeting or simply a party or gathering with friends or family, a conference table is sure to be a great conversation piece. In today's fast moving and complex world, most non-trivial projects require the varied expertise and simultaneous efforts from multiple individual people. Often, small teams are involved; many are limited to a dozen, or fewer people. Today, conferences between participants which are at various locations are also possible with the help of television techniques. Such type of conferences are also identified as video conferences. Where space is not limited, video conference centers may employ any of a variety of known fixed conference tables, while the video cameras tend to be manned, mobile structures which can be positioned at any point around the table. Conference tables are typically designed such that conference participants sit across one another. Such a seating arrangement is favorable for communication purposes, since the discussion partners can see one another, so that mimic and gesture can come into play.
