Folding table
Folding tables are well known to the art. They commonly are used in homes, offices, training rooms, cafeterias and so forth when extra table space is needed. When not in use, the tables are folded up and store in some unobtrusive manner. A folding table offers benefits over non-folding tables in that it takes less storage space, is easy to disassemble and easy to assemble. Foldable tables can also provide an immediate temporary work space in a garage, tool shed, and the like. The portability and foldability of these utility tables allows a user to conveniently set up, take down, and store the table whenever and wherever the user chooses. A folding table that does not have to be disassembled for storage will reduce the possibility of pieces being lost or damaged. Foldable utility tables can be placed in a pre-determined configuration to meet the space requirements of a school or community gymnasium, a church multi-purpose room, or a hotel conference meeting room. Afterward, the tables can be neatly stored away and the room used for a different purpose. Thus, lightweight folding tables allow a group or organization to maximize the efficiency and utility of a particular space. Foldable tables are suitable not only for indoor use, but also outdoor activities. A foldable table can be easily loaded in a truck or bigger-sized vehicles and transported to an outdoor place, such as a park and campground. The foldable table can be then erected for various purposes. For example, in a rescue action of emergency, a working table may be needed for placing tools or paper works. A foldable table can be folded to minimize its occupying space and to stack as a pile, such that many can be stored in a small room. The foldable tables are of light weight, so that they can be easily carried to another room where they are unfolded for certain purposes. Due to the flexible configuration and light weight, foldable tables are often used for serving food or receiving attendants in a conference or banquet. Folding tables typically include two planar tops surfaces hingedly attached to one another. Generally, the table legs are affixed to the corners of the unfolded table, and are similarly extended or retracted from the underside of the table top of the folding table. A conventional foldable table generally comprises a tabletop and a supporting frame which comprises a tabletop reinforcing frame and a foldable leg frame connected thereunder in a pivotally foldable manner. When the foldable is in use, the leg frame is pivotally unfolded and extended to support the tabletop at an elevated height, and when the foldable table is not in use, the leg frame is capable of being folded towards the tabletop for reduction in its overall size so as to facilitate easy storage and transportation.
