Lawn chairs are meant for sitting outdoors, such as in the yard of a house or outside while on a leisure trip. A lawn chair typically is made of a frame having a front, lower crosspiece and a rear, lower crosspiece, the crosspieces being engagable with the ground so that the seat or chair portion of the lawn chair will be at the proper height and will have the necessary stability to allow a person to sit comfortably in the chair. To fit the situation demands of each situation, a lawn chair should be easily detachable so that it can be taken out when needed and stored away when not in need. Folding lawn chairs are a popular item of furniture with people having back yards. Folding lawn chairs can be found in abundance along beaches, at sporting events, and within swimming pool patio areas. A wide variety of folding lawn chairs are available at most department stores, including reclining lounger-type lawn chairs and upright lawn chairs. Such lawn chairs are designed to be light weight, weather resistant, and compact such that they can be carried by person or transported by automobile to a variety of outdoor locations.
