Patio furniture
Outdoor patio furniture has become increasingly popular as more and more people are beginning to conduct more outdoor activities. For example, outdoor dinner parties and events are becoming more common, and patio umbrellas have been useful in providing shade to tables and chairs that have been placed outdoors for these events. Many dwellings include a balcony or patio area that is outside the dwelling but is accessible from the interior of the dwelling. For example, a single family residence may have a cement patio extending from a backdoor of the residence. Patio umbrellas have traditionally been used at patios and back yards of homes to provide shade from sunlight. Patio umbrellas have also been used extensively at swimming pools and other play or recreation facilities to provide shade. The umbrella has become a mainstay in the use of outdoor table furniture, providing those who are seated at the table a form of protection from sunlight, rain, or other elements that may fall from above. Placement of the umbrella at the center of the table, the table accommodating the umbrella by use of a centrally disposed aperture, provides an encompassing shelter over a perimeter of the table. Wooden patio tables have been popular for a number of years and are becoming increasingly popular since more and more people are interested in patio cooking and eating picnic-style meals outdoors on their patios or on screened porches. Patio table furniture now includes artistically coordinated chairs, seat covers, table tops, and lately, the use of umbrellas that encompass the table. Sliding patio doors comprise a rectangular metal frame to be fixed within a door opening in a wall and at least a pair of relatively movable door panels mounted within the frame. One of these panels is generally a fixed panel that is securely fastened to the frame and occupies only a portion of the frame opening so that the remainder of the frame opening provides an access opening through the frame. The other panel of the door assembly is a movable panel that overlaps the stationary panel.
